My instruction method for Beginners and Intermediate level students consists of the following five points: 

1) I insist on an excellent pronunciation ( I will correct my students over and over again if necessary) 

2) Conversation practice in each class, even with Beginners , including reading an appropriate level novel in French from the get go! 

3) I emphasize grammar, applying the learnt grammar rules in class by doing exercices, some memorization for vocabulary, idiomatic expressions, and learning and conjugating verbs 

4) I use an excellent Textbook for structure and I send weekly homework to reinforce structures learnt in class

5) I encourage immersion, immersion, immersion through listening to Podcasts, watching good French series and movies weekly on Netflix and other platforms, listening to news in French, listening to French music, reading and writing.

🌟Tutoring and lessons can be self guided in order for me to cater to your areas of needed support and interest. However, if you choose not to self guide, no problem! I can always structure a lesson. Although I will teach grammar and vocabulary in some lessons, I am a strong believer of the power that conversation has on language development.

🌟 If you are looking for someone to have conversations with to actually practice French, in lieu of grammar and vocabulary worksheets, you have found the right person as well!

I would say that my strong point lies in working with each student individually and finding out what is the best way to go about teaching them. Every student is not the same . I do base my one hour class on my 5 point method but I’ll listen to my student first. My aim is to install confidence in my students and give them the tools they need , which works best for them , so that they can start speaking French with confidence! Even for Beginners! 

Lastly, my students are very important to me ! When I see their continued progress and results, it makes me very happy! I do my best to accommodate my students scheduling issues and I’m very flexible when I can be. I’m easy going , friendly and committed to my students progress.
