BEGINNER’S ARCHITECTURE CAMP FOR KIDS

It’s time to get creative with architecture ! In this architecture Summer week for kids, students will unleash their imagination, tap into their unique creativity, learn architectural skills and techniques, and design their dream building while having FUN together! Through engaging, top-notch art and architecture art lessons, interactive learning, and social engagement with peers, kids will feel excited and inspired as they learn about how architects work while exploring their own self-expression through designing a modern building of their very own. In this encouraging, positive and hands-on Architecture camp for kids, students will:

  • Learn architectural skills, tools and techniques such as design, drawing, sketching, site plans, sections, interior design, perspective, space, and how to create architectural blueprints for their dream building
  • Explore environmental sustainability and learn problem-solving skills to apply towards building modern spaces
  • Learn fun facts about famous 20th century architects and feel inspired by architectural history
  • Think outside the box and flex imaginations while creating dream spaces to live, learn and play in
  • Create and draw the plans for each room of their dream space
  • Discuss ideas, play brainstorming games, share their artwork with peers,and receive encouraging feedback
  • Create and learn about artwork architects create and pave the way for their very own dream building plan
  • Receive individualized attention while being encouraged to dream big while expressing their own vision

Discover buildings, museums, modern homes … In this course, students will learn how to “read” architecture as a cultural expression as well as a technical achievement. Vivid analyses of exemplary buildings from a wide range of historical contexts, coupled with hands-on exercices in drawing and modeling, using Lego… bring the students close to the work of an actual architect or historian.

Discover Design of the 20th Century …Students will learn the work of designers such as Le Corbusier, Charles and Ray Eames who have shaped and recreated the modern world with a variety of materials.
